I fish it in reverence! Due to some complicated family situation I didn't had the chance to get involved too much into the fishing and building rod. Interestingly enough bamboo still has followed me just in a different way; I'm about to start a bamboo plantation in south america, as I'm very much into building with it. I came across this article while looking for references of his bamboo rods. I had never heard of him before I acquired this rod, and did my research the way you did... and yes.. at some point this winter I want to build a leather rod case for this rod and another yet to be bought... a 9' 6 wt.
Thank you for the questions and comments my friend!Erik Helmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00727530868264488710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3918514418757933899.post-21400273105238791692015-12-07T00:00:49.786-06:002015-12-07T00:00:49.786-06:00Erik,

A few questions regarding Herr Fritz:
1) Is Herr Fritz still alive, and building rods?
2) How did you hear of his rod making skills in the first place (I went the usual "lazy American" route by googling him, and found very little)?
3) Are you going to build a leather case for the rod?
I hope all is well, and feel free to post on a more frequent basis (very selfish request on my part).

Have a wonderful holiday season,
Ned

P.S. Sorry for the blunt questions (it is a side effect of being employed by corporate America).
Ned Percivalnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3918514418757933899.post-3996161673742024172015-11-30T23:06:42.618-06:002015-11-30T23:06:42.618-06:00Wonderful story Erik.
