I should tie one sparce on a double for comparison.Erik Helmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00727530868264488710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3918514418757933899.post-43403411338703540812010-02-12T09:42:37.714-06:002010-02-12T09:42:37.714-06:00I thought those Green Machines were meant to be fi...I thought those Green Machines were meant to be fished wet, not as bombers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3918514418757933899.post-74265241497299228612010-02-12T08:53:02.959-06:002010-02-12T08:53:02.959-06:00However, when tied the traditional way on an eyele...However, when tied the traditional way on an eyeless hook, it is almost impossible to get Syd Glasso heads. Look at any of the old salmonfly texts and the heads tend to be anywhere from the size of Erik's to some that are significantly larger yet.Jim Williamshttp://www.just-reels.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3918514418757933899.post-15897429477246627992010-02-11T16:59:27.423-06:002010-02-11T16:59:27.423-06:00Aye Laddie,

I have gotten a bit better and more consistant lately, but that is because I started tying flies as samples for commercial offerings.
The Bloody Mouse could be tied as a waker, I am sure with the AJ hook, it would not sink. It is actually easy to tie.
I actually took a steelhead on the same pattern on a size 4 hook with an orange rabbit tail. That one was tied a bit sparser and used green dubbing. I forgot all about it.
