Anyone who limits their fly fishing to 40' or less is just not getting all they can from fly fishing
Gnome outJeffrey L Hattonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11798957293772136305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3918514418757933899.post-44331185410034706602020-03-11T21:46:29.111-05:002020-03-11T21:46:29.111-05:00Right, but that wasn't fly fishing, it was fis...Right, but that wasn't fly fishing, it was fishing with a fly. Not that it's not good in its own right, but if casting a fly on a spinning rod isn't fly fishing, neither is tenkara. It's "fysshynge wyth an angle," a fly is just another 'lure' that can be used. Fly fishing didn't come about until the reel and the heavy line with light leader. For example, fishing with fine, gossamer lines made to be blown about is just blowline fishing, whether or not you use a fly. Fly casting is what makes fly fishing what it is.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3918514418757933899.post-65938965716716733602020-03-09T07:27:07.319-05:002020-03-09T07:27:07.319-05:00Erik,

I replied that you were only using it as an object of cluttering. Glad I got that from my early lit classes.
Anonymous, How is tenkara not fly fishing?
